Galaxy Pirates by Tamuna Tsertsvadze

Galaxy Pirates is a Science Fantasy book designed for teens and young adults who are into science fiction, fantasy, and adventures. It draws inspiration from many classical pirate adventure books such as The Black Corsair by Emilio Salgari and Treasure Island by Robert L. Stevenson, as well as modern movies such as Pirates of the Caribbean and Treasure Planet by Disney. Galaxy Pirates mixes the classical pirate adventure and romance with the sci-fi world of aliens and high-tech, providing a fresh new outlook in both genres.

Synopsis:

In a dystopian future, two of the strongest and the most aggressive species of aliens – the Reptiloids and the Radenoids – turn Planet Earth into their slave-trading colony. The Radenoids are the ones to have created humans long ago. Violet Hawthorne, a human, was sold as a slave. She works in a pub on Irahor, a planet under the Radenoid rule. Galaxy Pirates – the clan of different alien species from across the Seven Universes – kidnap her. She slowly gets to know them and decides to ask for their help to free the Earth. The Galaxy Pirate Emperor, Arubah Arruroe, is a half-human and a descendant of two strongest alien species. He promises to help Violet.

The three major forces – the Pirate Empire, the Galaxy Navy of the Radenoids, and the Empire of the Reptiloids – oppose each other. Arubah Arruroe, with his versatile nature of a bloody tyrant and a benevolent deity all in one, gradually manages to bewitch and conquer both the Earth and Violet’s very heart.

Goodreads 5-star reviews:

Best book I’ve read in years! A must-read for anyone who loves great literature.

Notable Quotes:

“I live in the moment. Drink from the fresh spring of the present, you shall get to enjoy the true taste of happiness. If you do not expect anything from the future, then whatever winds may blow, they won’t be able to sway you off your path, will they?”

“The treasure is not only gold, silver, gems, etc. The most important treasure of this world is family and friends.”

“This world belongs to the weird ones, and the weird ones become kings.”

“Grasping the situation is never enough to understand what a person might be undergoing. If one’s own heart is locked, they are as good as deaf to people’s true sentiments. One’s heartbeat speaks the loudest.”

“One should be labelled as a villain in society’s eyes in order to commit kind deeds untrammelled. The society never associates freedom with kindness, for sometimes the free spirits allow themselves to defy common rules, and the society deems it as villainy. If I am called a villain for the said reason, I shall bear that label with pride, for it proves I am a free man.”
