Based on his novel that was published in 1898, the movie is a modern version of the old War of the Worlds movie. It has been directed by Steven Spielberg who did a great job in reviving this classic of science fiction. Furthermore, the movie was released by Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks Pictures on June 29, 2005.

Praises and Critiques:
This was definitely a good science fiction movie. The fact that the cast included Tom Cruise as the main character and that it was directed by Steven Spielberg, in my opinion, attest to the quality of this alien invasion movie. Subsequently, I would like to add that this flick is definitely in my top ten of extraterrestrial movie.
I recommend this film to all the alien and ufo fan but also all the science fiction lovers as well. You will definitely enjoy it.
I think this movie deserves a solid 4.5 stars out of 5 because it was well done and entertaining on top of it.
