Upgrade (2018)

Imagine that you could get an implant that would allow you to walk again or see again or even be better at everything you could possibly do. 

Movie description:

Upgrade is an Australian action-packed science fiction movie that was released on March 10, 2018. Written and directed by Leigh Whannell, the movie was filmed in Australia even though it was set in the USA. 

Synopsis:

After being assaulted by what seemed to be a random group of ruffians, Grey, and his girlfriend Asha are left for dead. Thereupon, Grey wakes up in the ER to learn that he will never be able to move again. Soon after he gets a visit from a scientist who claims he has a miracle computer chip implant that can restore is motricity.  Grey accepts to go through the procedure in hopes that he will be able to avenge his now-dead girlfriend even though he’s strictly not allowed. 

Praises and Critiques:

I really enjoyed watching this movie. The first thing I have to say is that the fighting scenes were awesome. Furthermore, the story was good as well and the end of the movie was unexpected. Overall, I think that the movie was a pretty good watch.  

Recommendations: 

I recommend this movie to all the sci-fi fans out there because it’s a great movie. I have to warn the faint of hearth that this movie contains some pretty graphic and violent scenes.

Rating:

I think this movie deserves 4 stars out of 5 because it was a great watch that did keep me riveted to my television the entire time.
