Time travelling back in time is one of the greatest paradox of science fiction. Once discovered it could lead to a series of unpredicted events that could change the time continuum for ever.
See You Yesterday is an American science fiction film that was released on May 17, 2019, by Netflix and directed by Stefon Bristol. In this movie, we follow a young science whiz kid and her friend that invents a machine that allow them to travel back in time. It is not long before she and her co-inventor realise that you can’t travel back in time without having an influence on the time continuum. By going back in time to try to save her brother from a shooting, they get tangle in timelines that wouldn’t be. They must find a way to undo what they have done or the world will never be the same for them.
Praises and critiques:
I think that the movie was a pretty decent time travel movie. The story was good but somewhat predictable. I thought it was somewhat funny to see Michael J. Fox as the science teacher discussing time travel paradoxes. Overall, the movie was well done and the cast was good as well. Furthermore, the movie had some nice special effects and a good pace.
I think that this movie would best suit a young adult audience but will be good for most. I recommend it to Sci-Fi fans and Back To The Future fans as well.
I give this movie 3.5 out of 5 stars because it’s lack of originality and it predictability. Other then that it was still a great watch.
